Where I attempt to write about scrapbooking, cooking, sports, radio, and whatever, and secretly hope no one sees it.

G's School Easter Party
Today was G's Easter Party at school. I was in charge of cookies for the event, so I got there a little early. As soon as I peek into the classroom, I saw Gavin and his classmates all sitting at the table eating their lunch. I'm always amazed that Ms. Teresa is able to corral this group of two year olds, when I can't even corral the one two year old that I have! They were so cute, I had to drop the cookies on the floor and take a pic. One of his classmate's little brother was there and G was so sweet to the baby. He offered him his cookie and some of his eggs after the egg hunt. After all the treats Gavin fell hard asleep in the car and took a good afternoon nap!

Dichotomy
This page pretty much was done in my head before I even got the photo taken. Gavin has been so enthralled with all the beautiful pink azaleas in the backyard. He loves to go out and pick them until he can't hold anymore in his hand. This was the case a couple of saturdays ago. He was carrying around his bouquet in his hand and came upon a strange looking bug. He squatted down and got awfully close to it. I was a little concerned because I wasn't really certain what kind of insect it was, but at that moment the word dichotomy entered my head. It was just so fascinating to me to watch him investigating this bug like such a little boy, while simultaneously holding this big fist full of flowers. I love my sweet G and all aspects of his personality!

Long, strange day
It's been quite a day, which I'm sure I'll get to talking about later. Don't feel like talking about it until it is successfully completed. Can say that we had a great Pancake Saturday at Uncle "Mac's" house. Amy is off this weekend so the Vaagens were able to come. So glad the boys are starting to get big enough to entertain themselves. For a little while, anyway. If only I could get Gavin to stop hitting his cousin. Anyway, I did manage to photograph my latest layouts. I really have very little patience for this process. I know they could look a lot better if I spent a little time working on it. They way I see it, if I really wanted to look at layouts on a computer, I would do digi layouts. Here's my most recently completed. It's about my 40th birthday. I experimented with doing a front and back page, and this paper was perfect for it. I wanted to do all the journaling on the back and the paper I had already chosen had a ledger pattern on the back. I think it turned out pretty good.
Here's the back side:

Making of a Man
Still haven't photographed my latest, but here's one of my very faves. Of course, like every layout I look at it and see things I'd do differently, but overall I love it.

So I'm not really a computer geek
Trying to work on this blogging thing. Going to take me a while to figure it all out. I'm a paper scrapper because I like PAPER and PENS! Anyway, need to take pics of my latest creations. Finally feeling creative again after a bit of a lull. Matt is without an assistant and a partner this week, so I've been working at the salon a lot this week. Sometimes it seems the more I have to do, the more extra stuff I manage to fit in. Pics tomorrow...hopefully.
